Autumn comes to London

There was a rare treat in our house on Saturday in that we both woke up early. We normally lounge around the flat until late morning but on Saturday we were up early and jumped on a bus into town in a heavenly blue sky. I love autumn light and the leaves were starting to turn. OH suggested walking up through Green Park and up over to Hyde Park. We timed it to perfection as it started to cloud over and drizzle just as we ended the walk but here is what we saw.

And there we have it. Those colours are there to nourish the soul but soon they will start to fade and winter will be here before we now it. But I was so glad we ceased the moment and went for a walk in the sunshine.
